A ball shall be deemed out of bounds:-
1.1 On or beyond any road, wall, fence or bank, bounding the course.
(The section of wall between the 5th Green and the front of the 6th Tee and bordering the 6th Fairway is an integral part of the course).
1.2. On or beyond any line of white stakes, (Please Note: This now applies to the area between the 14th Tee and 14th Fairway), in or beyond any trench.
1.3. On the car park, the clubhouse and any surrounding paved areas.
1.4 The Greenkeepers' premises defined by a line of white stakes or a trench.
1.5. On the Practice Putting Green adjacent to the 16th Tee.
1.6. All of the non-turfed area to the left of the 16th Tee up to and around the 1st Tee.
1.7. The raised garden area between the 4th Tee and the 14th green.
1.8. A ball crossing a boundary and coming to rest on another part of the course is still out of bounds (holes 5 & 8, 13 / 14 & 9/ 10 / 11).
NOTE"¦ The out of bounds line is determined by the nearest inside points of the stake or fence post at ground level excluding angled supports.
Objects defining out of bounds e.g. walls, fences, stakes, notices and railings, are not obstructions and are deemed to be "fixed".
If a staked tree interferes with the player's stance or area of their intended swing, relief will be taken without penalty.
All rocky areas (Includes fallen stones from boundary walls) are deemed as "G.U.R".
Any bunkers out of play due to greenkeepers' work are deemed "G.U.R.".
This area is defined by blue/white posts and is an integral part of the golf course.
All items of course furniture including all man made or artificial paths and artificial bunker faces are deemed as immovable obstructions.
The 150yds distance posts and sighting posts and guidance ropes/posts are moveable obstructions
Relief from Interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule.16.1
If a ball lies in the General area " and an immovable obstruction within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes with the line of play, the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b
All areas of the course marked G.U.R as defined by white lines are deemed "Ground Under Repair" from which play is prohibited, compulsory drop. Players must obtain relief from these areas.
N.B. Worlebury has NOT adopted the discretionary local rule giving relief with two shot penalty for lost / OOB ball. Full use should be made of the "provisional ball" procedure Rule 18.3
